No, you don't need to buy a calculator for math 112. Calculators will not be allowed on math 112 exams. There will be occasional homework problems that require the use of calculators, but a basic scientific calculator will almost always be sufficient. Some of your homework will be submitted online, by computer. The computational ability of the computer will be helpful for many of these assignments, but again no graphing calculator is required.
