The International Conference on Differential Equations
and Computational Simulations
June 13-18, 1999,
Chengdu, P.R.China
The International Conference on Differential Equations and Computational
Simulations is scheduled to be held at the Sichuan University, Chengdu,
People's Republic of China during June 13--18, 1999.
This conference will focus on nonlinear dynamics and computational simulation
with applications to models in electronic circuits, advanced materials,
nonlinear waves, fluid flow, nonlinear optics, networks of neurons, genetics,
physiology and related fields.

Format:
In addition to the invited lectures, we anticipate a small number of
contributed lectures. The proceeding of the conference will be published.
Abstracts of contributed papers must be received by April 30, 1999.
Abstracts should be typed in LaTeX, not to exceed one page and sent to Prof.

Registration:
The registration fee for the conference is US $100 including
meals, refreshments, a banquet, final program and abstract.
Accommodation and Tours:
The Conference will be held at the Sichuan University.
It is planned to accommodate the participants in the
Ke Hua Yuan Hotel (~US$30), West Campus of Sichuan University.
Tours to
Jiu Zhai Gou Resort
(RMB 1000--1500 = $120-180 for five days including travel, hotels and meals),
and
Emei Mountain
and Leshan Giant Buddha (RMB450-750 = $60-90 for three days including travel, hotels and meals)
will be arranged after conference.
Visa:
If you are not a Chinese citizen, you need to apply for a visa. The simplest way is to get a tourist visa.
If you are in USA, you can find the information at
the Visa Office of the Chinese Embassy. If you are not in USA, you need to contact the Chinese embassy
near you.
Transportation Information:
By Air: There are direct flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Guanzhou, Hong Kong,
Singapore to Chengdu. You can find the information and book your tickets

Ground Transportation:
How to get to Ke Hua Yuan Hotel from the Chengdu airport: (1) Take a taxi (about RMB 50 = $6) or (2)
Take the airport bus and get off at the embassy road stop, then take a taxi. The total is about RMB 20=$2.5.
