The Math Lab is on the first floor,
north wing of the TMCB, room 159. It can be reached
from the northernmost doors of the building or by
entering the east doors and going down the first hallway
on the right.
The Math Lab's primary focus is to provide
help for students in basic mathematics, including
the following classes:
- Math 102
Quantitative Reasoning
- Math 110
College Algebra
- Math 111
Trigonometry
- Math 112
Calculus 1
- Math 113
Calculus 2
- Math 119
Introduction to Calculus
In addition, the Math Lab provides help
for engineering mathematics and classes required for
a Math minor:

Multivariate Calculus
- Math 343
Linear Algebra
- Math 334
Ordinary Differential Equations
- Math 315
Theory of Analysis I
- Math 302
Engineering Mathematics I
- Math 303
Engineering Mathematics II
Help for more advanced mathematics can
sometimes be obtained at the Math Lab (from advanced
undergraduates or graduate students) or at the Math
Majors Mentoring Center located in 151 TMCB (the glass-walled
room inside the Math Lab.)
Other resources available for students
include:
The AccessPoint Labs (149 and 150
TMCB) are available for use by anyone in the BYU
community (provided there is not a class being taught
there). In order to use the computers in the labs,
students must have a Route Y or BYU NetID in order
to log in.
Lab Population
The lab in room 149 has 33 available
PC's, and the lab in 150 has 36 computers for student
use. Both labs are equipped with a PHAROS printing
station.
This lab is primarily used for classroom situations.
If a class is using the lab, students not in the
class will need to use one of the other labs on
campus.
