What are accessible web pages?
They are web pages designed for EVERYONE! By simple methods, web pages can be made so that
- those who are visually impaired (blind or low vision)
- those who are hearing impaired (deaf)
- those whose browsers do not support images, audio, or multi-media
- those who choose not to download images or use audio or multi-media (perhaps because of a slow connection)
- everybody
can access all the information on the page.
It's easy to help make pages more accessible!
Here are some common features of web pages and how to make them more accessible.
